Third family brings Grok CSAM lawsuit against xAI

Potts Law Firm said it filed the third civil action against xAI, the company behind Grok, for another family whose minor child was allegedly depicted in AI-generated child sexual abuse material.[1][2]

According to the firm's account of the complaint, authentic photographs of the six-year-old child were allegedly used to create explicit images, and the lawsuit alleges that xAI's platform generated or facilitated their creation.[1][2] The allegations have not been adjudicated.[1]

The announcement follows two earlier Arkansas civil actions reported in the July 23 and July 30 digests.[3][4]
