July 23, 2026 — Potts Law Firm announced that it had filed a civil lawsuit against xAI, X.AI LLC, and X Corp. on behalf of a family whose child was allegedly depicted in AI-generated child sexual abuse material.[1]
Allegations
[edit]The firm said the lawsuit arose from a criminal investigation involving a Bentonville photographer who had been charged with felony offenses related to alleged AI-generated child sexual abuse material.[1] According to the firm's account of the complaint, authentic photographs of the child were allegedly used to create sexually explicit AI-generated images, and xAI's technology allegedly played a role in generating or facilitating those images.[1]
