Two copyright suits against Suno voluntarily dismissed

Digital Music News reported that Poseidon Wave Media, litigating on behalf of The American Dollar, voluntarily dismissed its copyright action against Suno with prejudice, preventing refiling of that action. Jamendo voluntarily dismissed its separate Suno action without prejudice.

The dismissal notices did not state a reason, and Digital Music News reported that The American Dollar, Jamendo, Winamp, and Suno had not responded to requests for comment before publication.

Fourth lawsuit alleges Grok generated abusive images of a minor

Potts Law Firm announced that it filed a fourth civil lawsuit against xAI on behalf of a 16-year-old identified as John Doe, alleging that photographs of him were transformed by Grok into child sexual abuse material. The action, John Doe, by and through his Legal Guardian Parent, Jane Roe 4 v. x.AI Corp., x.AI, LLC, and X Corp., No. 5:26-cv-5204, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas and seeks damages and other relief.

Earlier local reporting on the first Arkansas family’s action said a Bentonville photographer had been arrested and accused of using Grok to generate abusive images from photographs of juvenile clients; KATV reported that a police affidavit described about 1,700 images and videos on his phone.
